Goal
In a distribution company student employees and freelancers are paid by work hours. To settle their wages the workers shall log their jobs in a time clock. This additional work load must be small.
- Easy to expand, e.g. easy creation of new clients, employees & projects
- Internal links to and associations with an existing process management system
- Time clock function (start/stop)
- Time range selection & different sort criteria

Implementation
has used PHP & MySQL to program a browser based software. Time recording starts once a new task is added. It ends when the user clicks a stop-button. The software remembers previous user inputs and offers them for future entries in drop down lists. This way new tasks can be added to the time clock quickly & easily.

The time recording can be analyzed with sorting functions and filters. Results can be exported to MS Excel.

Work Hours & Price
Programming and ready-to-run installation of the virtual time clock was done in only approximately 17 hours. The total cost was approximately 800.00 US$ without VAT.
