Goal
A senior citizen aid agency needs a portal for help seekers and service agents. Service agents shall register and enter their profile themselves. Geo-coordinates of their address shall be determined and stored in a MySQL database. All service agents shall be located on a map with individual icons.

Implementation
The 
solution determines the geo-coordinates of a service agent by querying the Google geocoding interface (API) with its address and stores the result in the agent's dataset. On a search and filter page the service agents selected by the help seeking senior are located on Google Maps.

The search result can be filtered by drop down lists according to gender, distance, hourly wage and services offered. The script associates the search results with the geo-coordinates of the help seeking person. By radius search help seekers can find a service agent who matches their requirements and is in close proximity. Profile excerpts of service agents can be displayed on Google Maps by clicking an agent's icon. The agent's full profile is mailed to the help seeking person by a click of the mouse.

Work Hours & Price
Programming the geocoding requests, icon design and Google Maps display including radius search was done in only approximately 25 hours. The total cost was approximately 1,400.00 US$ without VAT.
